NEW ALBUM "CARAVAN" & EUROPEAN TOUR ON NOW

Hi to everyone out there - happy new year etc etc! Hope you had a great festive season and holiday break. I've been busy throughout January in the studio putting the finishing touches to my new album "Caravan" and I'm pleased to say its turned out great. I'm really, really happy and proud of it and can't wait to get it out there into the world.

Made up of thirteen songs recorded over the last year between Real World Studios in Bath, Presspack Studios in Plymouth, Round The Bend Studios in Dartmoor, Tube Temple Studios in Solingen and Atlantis Studios in Melbourne "Caravan" really sums up the way the last year of life has been - constantly on the road, split between Australia and Europe. It features both my European and Australian bands as well as my good friend Seth Lakeman on a couple of tracks and my brother Christian Thompson on harmonies.

"Caravan" is co-produced by Greg Arnold and mixed by Brad Jones in Nashville and both these guys play a heap of great stuff on the record too. This is the third album now with Greg and Brad and it really feels like a culmination of everything we've been working towards over the past five years - definitely the best one yet!

The album will be released in Europe Feb 21st through VALVE RECORDS and I'm on the road throughout Feb and March. I play a few solo shows in Austria (presented by COCO TOURS), Denmark & regional England before I hook up with my European band of Mathieu and Christophe on the 18th and we officially start the CARAVAN ALBUM LAUNCH TOUR through GERMANY, FRANCE, UK, BELGIUM, HOLLAND, CZECH REPUBLIC & SWITZERLAND. For all the Australian fans the album will be released in April through MGM with an accompanying national band tour. Dates will be announced very soon….
